I'm a singer/songwriter from Ottawa. I play guitar, bass, drums, keys, mandolin & banjo. I would
describe my stuff as 'earth rock.' To pigeon-hole my songwritig... hmmm... I guess it's a John Hiatt/Blue Rodeo/Ry Cooder
thing, with an effort towards more
than just regurgitating the first things that literally pop into my head. I hate that. Good lyrics give good music credence, weight
and longevity. Repeating a verse within a song is not an option, it's a chance to say something more.
Not to say that stupid fun songs don't have their place - they most certainly do - but anyways, I digress.
Live playing of late has been erratic, and is never enough.
I've managed to make music my full time gig by building a studio. There have been three key projects
going on for a while now... Tiller in a Rock Garden is my own debut whose only holdup now is
artwork, a master and a print. Look for it in August or September. The second is an album of original
music, as my way of tribute to Mark Knopfler. The third is a progressive/world/jazz fusion album (of
instrumental nature), a collaboration between myself and drummer Mike Favreau, featuring some fine
players from the region.
These first two are engineered by myself, with the exception of Tiller's bed tracks recorded by
Phil V. Bova; Mike's beds were tracked by Jon Van Wingerden, and I did the MK thing. I produced mine,
Mke and I his.
Talented artists looking for an affordable solution and topshelf results should seriously look into
what I do at Earthwerks.
Anyways, I hate writing my own bio, so I'm done. Email for more info, and peace,
